She blinks back at him cautiously and the grimace makes her wince in return, chin ducking self-consciously and hands curling up and over her shoulders once more.

"I thought that I told you not to apologize."

She chances a quick smile.

"It was yours anyway - though it is entirely your fault that you sleep like the dead."
