It is weird how it happens like that, how his heartbeat seems to suddenly quicken to a point of becoming uncomfortable as she murmurs into his ear and he isn't sure just what to do about it.

His hand does unknowingly tighten over hers, however, and he nods dumbly, clearing his throat.
