He lets out a deflated sigh just as the eagle tries once more to clutch at them. Tristran quickly pushes him and Yvaine forward, barely missing the large claw, then straightens, slashing his sword at it. It swoops up slightly, screeching its irritation.

"All right," he concedes with another sigh. "Just...stay close to me."
